Welcome to Café Rosa, a hidden gem nestled at 1 Albion Street in the charming city of Derby. This inviting café seamlessly combines a spacious layout with a cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for every coffee lover and casual diner alike.

Step inside from the bustling streets, and you'll find a beautifully reimagined space, once home to Where Next, now radiating warmth and character. The ambiance is enhanced by carefully curated music, creating a delightful backdrop for your coffee moments. It's not just about the drinks here; it's about an experience that feels like a warm hug, leaving you wanting to return again and again.

Café Rosa boasts an impressive menu that caters to both savory and sweet cravings. The sandwich selection is extensive, featuring crowd favorites such as the ever-classic Cheese & Onion, a comforting Egg Mayonnaise, and a tantalizing Smoked Salmon & Soft Cheese option. Each sandwich is prepared fresh to order, ensuring that you savor every bite of the high-quality ingredients.

For coffee enthusiasts, the café offers a tantalizing array of brews, including a rich and bold Espresso, an indulgent Iced Latte perfect for warmer days, and a smooth Cappuccino that many customers rave about. The variety of freshly ground coffees, including Colombian and Costa Rican options, will please those with discerning tastes, ensuring that every sip is a sensory delight.

Don't forget to explore the tea offerings as well; whether you prefer a pot of traditional English Breakfast or wish to try a fragrant Herbal Tea, there's something for everyone. As customer Assma Lucille noted, “the hot chocolate is delicious,” making it a must-try for those with a sweet tooth.

Patrons rave about the exceptional service provided by the friendly staff, as expressed by Michael Lickorish, who appreciated both the lovely drinks and attentive service during their visit. With a reputation for cleanliness and quick service, Café Rosa is a place where you can relax without a worry in the world.

Whether you're seeking a quiet spot to work (though seating with power sockets can be limited) or simply a lively place to enjoy the weekend hustle, Café Rosa offers it all. As customer Lynn Beck noted, the space is “light and airy,” making it a pleasant retreat from the daily grind. Plus, with their affordable pricing, you’ll enjoy larger portions without breaking the bank—far superior to chain options like Starbucks, as shared by a satisfied patron.

In summary, Café Rosa is not just a café; it's a community hub where enchanting aromas mingle with friendly faces and fantastic food. Visit this delightful establishment and let your taste buds embark on a delightful journey—your senses will thank you!

Tucked away on the corner of Albion Street and East Street in Derby, this coffee shop feels both spacious and homely. Once home to Where Next, the space has been beautifully reimagined into a welcoming spot full of charm. My father enjoyed a pot of Yorkshire tea with a toasted teacake, served with such care—nothing was too much trouble. I had a smooth Italian coffee that was absolutely superb. The staff were wonderful, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. On a guilt-free day, I’ll be back to sample their tempting cakes, scones, and sandwiches.

Delightful coffee shop situated in city centre. Serves a variety of coffees, savouries and sweet treats & fairly priced. Staff is fast and efficient. Relatively a large number of seating available and no outdoor seating. Can get quiet busy specially on the weekends. Accessibility to power sockets is limited and therefore will have to make sure you pick a proper table if you want to get some work done. Overall, a coffee shop I would recommend trying out.
